About The SSC Sector

Shared Services Center is a specialized organizational entity having specialized skills, experience and know-how in some operational area and offering these capabilities in the form of services to various business units or departments.

Unlike a regular department, it normally charges for its activities based on a transaction base as previously agreed in a Service Level Agreement.

In many instances, Shared Services is a separate business unit created within a company or agency accountable for delivering a suite of services to both the operating business units and the corporate function.

Internships

We started the SBD Warsaw internship program in April 2012. Stanley Black & Decker creates each year vacancies for the best interns. We offer them the opportunity to develop / grow with real professionals.

SBD has an extensive internship program, organized in cooperation with a. o. SGH and SGGW.

Interns have real professional tasks and are mentored by the team leaders. At SBD interns do not brew coffee, but have real assignments.

Development programs

Currently there are two development programs active in SBD Poland:

SLP (Stanley Leadership Program)

a global program, open for all SBD employees, in all departments and regions, with the goal of identifying talented people in an early stage of their professional development(working less than2 years), who – once located on appropriate positions – can contribute significantly to the development of the company.

TGP (Talents GSS Program)

program directed at Warsaw office employees, allowing participants to choose their own career path – managerial or expert path - within SBD.

Our Office - Rondo Daszyńskiego

Our office is the Proximo building located next to Rondo Daszyńskiego (Prosta 68 street), within 10 m. of the underground station, in the close proximity of bus and tram stops. Additionally, one can easily access Warsaw’s city center.
