EMEA ANZ Financial Analyst – GTS
(6 Months Assignment / Temporary Replacement)
Currently, we are looking for an EMEA ANZ Financial Analyst to join our Global Tools & Storage business for a temporary assignment. You will be part of the central EMEA ANZ Controllership team & will report into the GTS EMEA ANZ Asst. Controller.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain strong controls & compliance environment:
o Ensure compliance with US GAAP & all SBD Accounting policies/procedures
o Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls - ensuring appropriate controls are in place and define adequate procedures
o Liaison with other business functions to ensure appropriate accounting treatment across the region
o Drive the Delegation of Authority process (updates, approval & review)
o Support of Internal & External audit teams
• Ensure effective operation of all financial processes, i.e.:
o Month end closing process (liaison with shared service team and BU’s/Functional leaders)
o Support in the coordination of the Pre- & Post close process
o Own the account reconciliation & complex recs review process
o Drive standardization and process improvements
• Ownership of key provisions / expenses:
o Manage and document key processes around central reserves (Warranty, Bad Debt, Cash Discount …), etc.
o Review/control of business specific key areas including rebates
o Post close action items follow up / pulsing
o Non-financial submissions delivered on time (Representation Letters, BPO Reviews, Fraud Reports etc …)
• Ownership of tasks relating to central entities:
o Budgeting/forecasting SG&A & follow up on forecast to actual variances
o Trial Balance and Balance Sheet Flux reviews
o Recharges
• Project Management – Central Finance Lead for GTS EMEA ANZ Projects
o ARIBA – European roll-out
o SAP Implementations & SAP R&R Redesign
o Integration/Acquisition Management
o Ad-hoc Projects / Corporate Engagements
o Monthly/Quarterly balance sheet review
Requirements:
• Experience in Finance & Accounting
• US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) knowledge
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and you are familiar with financial systems (i.e. SAP, HFM, BW…)
• Strong analytical mindset, you are accurate and accountable
• Good planning skills and you work with deadlines
• Team player/manager
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
